.SH "DESCRIPTION"
.IX Header "DESCRIPTION"
Games::Sequential is a framework for producing sequential games.
Among other things it keeps track of the sequence of moves, and
provides an unlimited \f(CW\*(C`undo()\*(C'\fR mechanism. It also has methods to
\&\f(CW\*(C`clone()\*(C'\fR or take a \f(CW\*(C`snapshot()\*(C'\fR of a game.
.PP
Users must pass an object representing the initial state of the
game as the first argument to \f(CW\*(C`new()\*(C'\fR. This object must provide
the two methods \f(CW\*(C`copy()\*(C'\fR and \f(CW\*(C`apply()\*(C'\fR. You can use
Games::Sequential::Position as a base class, in which case the
\&\f(CW\*(C`copy()\*(C'\fR method will be provided for you. The \f(CW\*(C`apply()\*(C'\fR method
must take a move and apply it to the current position, producing
the next position in the game.
.SH "METHODS"
.IX Header "METHODS"
Users must not modify the referred-to values of references
returned by any of the below methods.
.ie n .IP "new $initialpos [@list]" 4
.el .IP "new \f(CW$initialpos\fR [@list]" 4
.IX Item "new $initialpos [@list]"
Create and return a new Games::Sequential object. The first
argument must be an object representing the initial position of
the game. The \f(CW\*(C`debug\*(C'\fR option can also be set here.
.IP "_init [@list]" 4
.IX Item "_init [@list]"
\&\fIInternal method\fR
.Sp
Initialize a Games::Sequential object.
.IP "debug [$value]" 4
.IX Item "debug [$value]"
Return current debug level and, if invoked with an argument, set
to new value.
.IP "peek_pos" 4
.IX Item "peek_pos"
Return reference to current position.
Use this for drawing the board etc.
.IP "peek_move" 4
.IX Item "peek_move"
Return reference to last applied move.
.ie n .IP "move $move" 4
.el .IP "move \f(CW$move\fR" 4
.IX Item "move $move"
Apply \f(CW$move\fR to the current position, keeping track of history.
A reference to the new position is returned, or undef on failure.
.IP "undo" 4
.IX Item "undo"
Undo last move. A reference to the previous position is returned,
or undef if there was no more moves to undo.
.SH "TODO"
.IX Header "TODO"
Implement the missing methods \f(CW\*(C`clone()\*(C'\fR, \f(CW\*(C`snapshot()\*(C'\fR,
\&\f(CW\*(C`save()\*(C'\fR & \f(CW\*(C`resume()\*(C'\fR.
