1. Where is the DUIM documentation?

The documentation group is writing both a user's guide and a reference
manual for DUIM, which are on the verge of being ready/useful.

In the interim, the only solutions are in ~dylan/sources/duim:
 - the file duim/outline.text which gives a brief overview
   and then outlines every function and class in DUIM.
 - the examples in duim/examples and duim/tests.
 - the sources themselves in duim. :-)

2. Why is there so little in here?

Because Scott and I are too lazy to write anymore...

3. Gadgets

o How do I subclass a gadget?

The problem with subclassing gadgets is that the class you call 'make'
on is an abstract class, so if you subclass it you won't get any of
the backend's implementation. So you have a number of alternatives:

 - use 'define pane' to encapsulate the gadget instead of subclassing
 - add a 'make-foo' method that does the appropriate enhancements
