Command: maintenance Format: maintenance Performs a complete set of list maintenance functions. The following work is done when this command is invoked: - all digests are checked to see if a list's digest frequency setting dictates that it's time to send the digest - archives are rotated - list files are updated, synchronizing the mail system's list data with listmanager's databases Executing this command causes the currently-selected list (if any) to be closed and deselected. This is not normally invoked from the command line, but is instead run by a regular UNIX process such as cron(8). This command is only available from the shell, i.e. you must be able to log in to the machine which hosts mailing lists and access the "listmanager" program from the command line.
