=head1 NAME Mail::Message::Field::Flex - one line of a message header =head1 INHERITANCE Mail::Message::Field::Flex is a Mail::Message::Field is a Mail::Reporter =head1 SYNOPSIS =head1 DESCRIPTION This is the flexible implementation of a field: it can easily be extended because it stores its data in a hash and the constructor (C) and initializer (C) are split. However, you pay the price in performance. L is faster (as the name predicts). =head1 OVERLOADED overload: B<""> =over 4 See L =back overload: B<+0> =over 4 See L =back overload: B<<=>> =over 4 See L =back overload: B =over 4 See L =back overload: B =over 4 See L =back =head1 METHODS =head2 Constructors $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back Mail::Message::Field::Flex-EB(DATA) =over 4 If you stick to this flexible class of header fields, you have a bit more facilities than with L. Amongst it, you can specify options with the creation. Possible arguments: =over 4 =item * B LINE ass a LINE as it could be found in a file: a (possibly folded) line which is terminated by a new-line. =item * B NAME, (BODY|OBJECTS), [ATTRIBUTES], OPTIONS A set of values which shape the line. =back To be able to distinguish the different parameters, you will have to specify the OPTIONS as ARRAY of option pairs, or HASH of options. The ATTRIBUTES are a flat list of key-value pairs. The body is specified as one BODY string, one OBJECT, or a reference to an array of OBJECTS. See L: Option --Defined in --Default attributes [] comment undef log Mail::Reporter 'WARNINGS' trace Mail::Reporter 'WARNINGS' . attributes => ATTRS =over 4 Reference to array with list of key-value pairs representing attributes, or reference to a hash containing these pairs. This is an alternative notation for specifying ATTRIBUTES directly as method arguments. =back . comment => STRING =over 4 A pre-formatted list of attributes. =back . log => LEVEL . trace => LEVEL =back =head2 The field $obj-EB Mail::Message::Field::Flex-EB =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB([FILEHANDLE]) =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB([WRAP]) =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back =head2 Access to the name $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB([STRING]) =over 4 See L =back =head2 Access to the body $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB([BODY]) =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB([STRING]) Mail::Message::Field::Flex-EB([STRING]) =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB([BODY, [WRAP]]) =over 4 See L =back =head2 Access to the content $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB(NAME [, VALUE]) =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB([STRING]) =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB([TIME]) Mail::Message::Field::Flex-EB([TIME]) =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back =head2 Other methods $obj-EB(STRING) Mail::Message::Field::Flex-EB(STRING) =over 4 See L =back =head2 Internals $obj-EB(LINE | (NAME,BODY|OBJECTS)) =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB([LENGTH]) =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB(NAME, BODY, [MAXCHARS]) Mail::Message::Field::Flex-EB(NAME, BODY, [MAXCHARS]) =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB([LENGTH]) =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB(STRING|ARRAY|OBJECTS) =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB(STRING) =over 4 See L =back =head2 Error handling $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB(OBJECT) =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB([LEVEL]|[LOGLEVEL, TRACELEVEL]|[LEVEL, CALLBACK]) Mail::Message::Field::Flex-EB([LEVEL]|[LOGLEVEL, TRACELEVEL]|[LEVEL, CALLBACK]) =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB([LEVEL [,STRINGS]]) Mail::Message::Field::Flex-EB([LEVEL [,STRINGS]]) =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB(LEVEL) Mail::Message::Field::Flex-EB(LEVEL) =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB([LEVEL]) =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB([LEVEL]) =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB([LEVEL]) =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back =head2 Cleanup $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back $obj-EB =over 4 See L =back =head1 DETAILS =head1 DIAGNOSTICS Warning: Field content is not numerical: $content =over 4 The numeric value of a field is requested (for instance the C or C fields should be numerical), however the data contains weird characters. =back Warning: Illegal character in field name $name =over 4 A new field is being created which does contain characters not permitted by the RFCs. Using this field in messages may break other e-mail clients or transfer agents, and therefore mutulate or extinguish your message. =back Error: Package $package does not implement $method. =over 4 Fatal error: the specific package (or one of its superclasses) does not implement this method where it should. This message means that some other related classes do implement this method however the class at hand does not. Probably you should investigate this and probably inform the author of the package. =back =head1 SEE ALSO This module is part of Mail-Box distribution version 2.079, built on November 28, 2007.
