$Id: //depot/Teapop/0.3/contrib/cryptpass.diff#1 $

This patch is for advanced users only. It's not currently supported and will
not be incorporated in the offical release, in the current form. A new
authentication-method, based on this idea, might however be added in the
future.

What it does is change the way the textfile-method works. Today teapop expects
the password found in the specified password file to be in clear text. With
this patch teapop will expect the password to be encrypted with the system
routine crypt(3), instead. Since this is a one way encryption, APOP will
*NOT* work for the users in the password file.

I leave it up to the reader to figure out how to actually encrypt the password
before putting it in the password file. There are several ways to do it, the
key trick is to use the crypt(3) routine, and most of the people who need this
feature already have their own method of how to add user password to the needed
places.
