RESL.README Wingz relies on X server information regarding the resolution of the current display screen to accurately display windows and components. Because many X servers do not provide the coordinates needed by Wingz, you may need to set the dpix and dpiy values provided to Wingz. The Resolution.scz script is provided to help you determine the actual resolution of your monitor. To ensure Resolution.scz runs properly, your $PATH should include the following: /usr/bin/X11 To execute Resolution.scz: 1. Launch Wingz by typing: Wingz at the command level. 2. Select the Run Script command from the Script menu. 3. Enter the following into the File Filter option: /Utilities/Resolution/*.scz where is the location that you installed Wingz ($WINGZ). 4. Select Resolution.scz from the Files list box and click OK to run the script. After executing Resolution.scz, you are led through a series of steps that determine the proper dpix and dpiy values needed. To maintain proper screen display, use the information you receive with the Wingz dpix and dpiy startup resources detailed in Appendix B: Wingz Startup Options in the Wingz Installation Guide. { Version info: @(#)RESL.README 2.1.2.2 96/07/09 }
