    Added autotools macros, modified licensing to BSD-STYLE LICENSE
    and added scripts for daemon-style installs by default.  Operating
    systems currently supported:  GNU Linux, FreeBSD, Interix
    Other operating systems to be determined later.
    (Files included as part of the GNU autotools retain GPL licensing)
