The "Feedbackware" registration policy Development of xmitBin has to date been irregular and somewhat infrequent as well. While it is certainly a quality program and has proved quite useful to hundreds (if not thousands) of users, there is still a lot that can be added to this program - and will, eventually (see the "Future" file contained in the xmitBin distribution to get an idea of what is being planned). That's where you come in; any feedback I receive from users (money, code, comments, or suggestions) will to some degree or another influence the development cycle of the next version. Monetary feedback will (of course) speak the loudest and carry the greatest influence; if you found this program to be useful, send a few dollars (whatever you think is appropriate) my direction. In turn, the e-mail address you provide will be put on an xmitBin mailing list to let you know of upcoming releases as well as where to get them. You'll also be assured that it'll be that much sooner that the next release will be available, as I'll be apt to dedicate more time towards that end. Send your xmitBin cash feedback to: Jim Howard 555 River Oaks Parkway, M/S 4A1 San Jose, CA 95134 USA Code contributions are also appreciated (as long as they provide some bug fix, needed enhancement, or port to a new platform). Donations of code probably won't speed up the next release to any great degree, but they will certainly add to its usefullness and functionality. Contributors of code will also be added to the xmitBin mailing list and be notified of new releases. Suggestions can also be quite useful - many of xmitBin's current features were at one time suggested by a user of the program, and I for one think that those comments have made xmitBin quite useful and robust. This is another area that won't speed up the next release cycle (in fact, it might even slow it down!), but it'll make the next release more useful. If you provide a suggestion, you can also request that you are added to the xmitBin mailing list. Comments are definitely appreciated! Sometimes, it'll even brighten what started out to be a very gloomy day; it's always nice to know that your efforts are appreciated! In a small way, this will make the next release of xmitBin come out sooner too, since "a happy programmer is a productive programmer"! Of course, if you bum me out...
