Introduction &kkeyled; is a program witch show's you the state of your keyboard led's numlock, capslock and scrollock. Using Kkeyled With the checkboxes, you are able to control witch LED's shold be displayed in the systemtray. The checkbox with name "restore state", activates &kkeyled; to restore the previous saved information at startup. If you click on the button save, &kkeyled; will save the active state. click on to the detail button to choose a theme of pictures or assign pictures you like. displayed example : Numlock to on, Capslock to off and Scrollock to off Here is a screenshot of &kkeyled; Screenshot More Kkeyled features It is also possible to change the ledstate. The contextmenu show's you the possible entry to change the state from lock to unlock. context menu In the contextmenu you will find the possibiliie to lock one of the keys. This is shown here. Lock display Kontext Menu 2 Detail configuration Here you can see the detail configuration dialog for the kkeyled. Click on a icon button to chose a image of yout choice. Don't forget to save it as your theme. b I'ts also posible to drag an icon from konqueror to the button, to assign it as this type of picture. To build your own theme, enter a text for the theme into the combobox and click to the save button. To change a existing theme, simple modify it an click on save button. To delete a theme, chose it in the combobox an press to delete. If you like to rename a theme, chose it, type the new Name and click on the rename Bbutton. The maximum size is 24x24 pixels, greater pictures will be cropped. More little icon will be centred. Since version 0.6.5 support for animated icons is added. The gif-format for it witch is testet. Such Images you are able to create witch the program GIMP. Automation with dcop KKeyled It's now possible to automate kkeyled with dcop. Example: switch capslock to on = $ dcop kkeyled qt/kkeyLed/capslock on switch capslock to off = $ dcop kkeyled qt/kkeyLed/capslock off you can do the same for numlock an scrollock. Requirements In order to successfully use &kkeyled; you need KDE version 3.0 and a system based on X11. The use on other then Intel based plattform is not tested, but maybe possible. Compilation and installation In order to compile and install &kkeyled; on your system, type the following in the base directory of the Icon Editor distribution: % ./configure % make % make install Since &kkeyled; uses autoconf and automake you should have not trouble compiling it. Configuration All nessesary configuration will be made imediatli, exept the state of the led's for the settings on restart. For to save the state, to get a sertend state at starttime, made the state of the key you like, and klick the save-button and mark the box on top of the button.
